Anderson Tecnatorch FireSmart capsheet is a polyester reinforced SBS modified torch-on bitumen felt thats applicable to warm build roofs as well as cold and inverted roofs with the approval of Icopal. The low-melt reinforced capsheet has all the benefits of the popular Anderson Tecnatorch with a fire protection layer, FireSmart, incorporated into the product. The FireSmart fire protection layer will prevent the spread of flame and fire penetration, giving outstanding fire resistance and protecting your project for longer. You can apply Anderson Tecnatorch FireSmart torch-on felt to plywood, timer board, profiled metal decking, OSB3 board and concrete or screeded surfaces so long as they are prepared. This means theyre free of debris, smooth, dry and free from any sharp fixings that could penetrate the membrane. This modified SBS bitumen torch-on capsheet has a grooved underside with a thermofusible film to make installation quicker and more efficient. Icopal suggest that the grooved underside, known as Mini Groove technology, can make installation up to 30% quicker and will reduce gas usage by 25%. This can be achieved as the thermofusible film incorporated into the underside means that the membrane melts quicker, using less gas to achieve the high temperatures commonly needed for torch-on felt. Less gas consumption means a reduction in CO2 emissions and a reduction in the chance that heat will penetrate or cause damage to the top and bottom of the roll.
