This Japanese Quince can be trained against a wall or planted as a medium sized shrub in garden borders or near woodland edges. Chaenomeles x superba 'Nicoline' has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, which is given to plants of distinction. In March and April, when the glossy green foliage emerges, the shrub becomes full of scarlet red flowers, followed later in the year with decorative fruits. Height: 120cm (48). Spread: 200cm (78).
