The Star Flex adapter is a brand new product which allows chimney liner to be supported from the top of the chimney pot while allowing the installer to be able to backfill with a loose insulation material such as vermiculite around the outside of the liner. The other advantage to this adapter is that it can be used on its ow, or in conjunction with either a standard Colt Chimney Cowl or a suspending cowls such as the Colt Top Flex or High Top Flex. When installing with a suspending cowl, simply nip off the stainless steel legs on the spigot.
