The unique composition formula of Essential Algae Remover is completely biodegradable and safe to use. Extremely effective at removing algae, moss, lichen, fungi, mould, bacteria, and viruses from external hard surfaces. Use annually for complete protection – treat locally wherever algae and moss appear during the year, such as around downpipes and drains. You do not have to retreat the entire area. When the approximate coverage is 100m2 per 5L, use undiluted on heavily contaminated areas or up to 1:20 dilution (low contamination). Then, depending on the surface contamination and method of application, the coverage area will vary. Available in 5L and 25L. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Remove any dust and debris from the work surface before beginning, and make sure you have adequate personal protection, such as gloves , appropriate protective eyewear , a face mask , and clothing. 2. Conduct a small test application in an inconspicuous location to determine an appropriate dilution rate and dwell time. This will indicate whether or not the product is suitable for your surface. 3. Essential Algae Remover should be used neat if the area is heavily contaminated, or diluted up to 1:20 with clean water for less dirty areas. 4. Mix thoroughly and apply at a rate of no more than 5m2 per litre. 5. Allow to soak in and completely dry on the surface before rinsing. DO NOT WASH OFF. The green moss and algae will then simply disappear within days and will not return for up to 12 months, at which point another application will be required. If the moss is particularly stubborn, additional treatments may be required. If it clings to roof tiles or other similar surfaces, it should be dislodged with a hose or sprayer . PLEASE NOTE: When there is a chance of rain, do not use Essential Algae Remover. Prior to use, always test the product in an unnoticeable location.
