Essential Black Spot Remover is a powerful cleanser. It is designed specifically to remove persistent black stains from natural stone, as well as other outdoor stone and masonry surfaces. Directly apply undiluted to areas with severe surface contamination, or dilute 1:1 for less contaminated areas. For maximum results, apply, agitate, and allow for 2-3 hours before rinsing. Unlike acid-based cleansers, the alkaline solvent will not erode or damage the stone's surface. Layers of filth and grime, as well as green algae, lichen, and long-standing black spot deposits, will be rapidly removed. Apply directly to areas with heavy surface contamination, or dilute 1:1 for less contaminated areas. Coverage varies depending on surface contamination, but should cover up to 50m2 per 5L container on average. Available in 5L and 25L. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Remove any dust and debris from the work surface before beginning, and make sure you have adequate personal protection, such as gloves , appropriate protective eyewear , a face mask , and clothing. 2. Essential Black Spot Remover should be used neat or diluted 1:1 with fresh water - do a brief area test to determine the most appropriate dilution rate and dwell time. Transfer the cleaning solution from the bottle to a pump sprayer or watering can with caution. An alternative, if these containers are not accessible, the cleaning fluid can be utilised directly from the bucket. Use generously. 3. The cleaning solvent must be applied to the surface for at least two hours, and the surface must not be allowed to dry during that period. To eliminate drying, mist with extra cleaning fluid or fresh water as needed. If required, use a brush to work the stained area(s), but keep the surface wet at all times. 4. Leave to dwell. 5. For optimal results, after approximately two to four hours of immersion time, the treated area should be rinsed down with fresh water to first neutralise the cleaner before power washing off the treated area. 6. Please be aware that the cleaning solution might damage or even kill vegetation, avoid splattering it on your garden or lawn grass. If this is inevitable, rinse well with fresh water to dilute the cleanser. 7. In places with extensive staining and extremely persistent black spots, the dwell period of Essential Black Spot Remover may need to be extended to up to 8 hours, or overnight if necessary, before power washing off. To get optimal results on old, resistant black/white lichen spots, test a tiny area to determine the dwell time needed to remove the stains, then follow the steps indicated. It is possible that two or three applications may be required. PLEASE NOTE: The active ingredient in Essential Black Spot Remover is a chlorine-type agent, which will discolour fabrics and sensitive materials. Throughout application, take special care to avoid interaction with fabrics and tarmac. Besides this, the fluid may cause slight lightening of some surfaces – always test the product on-site in an unnoticeable area before using it.
