Unlike acid cleaners, the alkaline-based solution will not harm or etch the surface. Apply neat for immediate effects on very contaminated areas, or apply in a 1:1 ratio for less unclean areas. Essential Block Paving Cleaner is a high-performance outdoor cleaner designed to remove everyday filth, dirt, and stains from block paved surfaces. It will remove layers of grime, dirt, and moss from your pavers in about 2 hours, without scrubbing. Essential Block Paving Cleaner also contains a biocide, which aids in the removal of organic materials between pavers, such as weeds, moss, leaf mulch, and so on. Coverage will vary depending on surface pollution, but when diluted 1:1, it can cover up to 50m2 per 5L. Available in 5L and 25L. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Remove any loose debris from the work surface before beginning your work, and make sure you have adequate personal protection, such as gloves , proper protective eyewear , a face mask , and appropriate clothing. 2. Essential Block Paving Cleaner should be used neat or diluted 1:1 with clean water – always do a small test area to establish the appropriate dilution rate and time duration. Transfer the cleaning fluid from the bottle to a pump sprayer or watering can with caution. If these containers are not accessible, cleaning fluid can be used directly from the bucket. Use generously. 3. The Essential Block Paving Cleaner must be left on the surface for at least an hour, during which time the surface must not be exposed to the air. Mist the pavers with more cleaning fluid or clean water as needed to keep it from drying out. Work the discoloured area(s) with a brush if necessary, but keep the surface wet at all times. 4. Wait at least two hours. 5. For best results, after at least two hours of dwell time, the treated area should be rinsed down with clean water first to neutralise the cleaner before power washing off. Please keep in mind that the cleaning fluid might harm or even kill greenery, avoid splattering it on your garden or lawn grass. If this is inevitable, rinse well with clean water to dilute the cleanser. 6. In regions of significant soiling and persistent black/white lichen spots, the dwell period of Essential Block Paving Cleaner may need to be extended to up to 4 hours, or overnight if necessary, before power washing clean. To get ideal results on old, tough black/white lichen spots, test a tiny area to determine the dwell time needed to remove the stains, then follow the steps above. It is probable that 2-3 applications will be required. PLEASE NOTE: Essential Block Paving Cleaner contains a chlorine-type chemical as an active ingredient, which will discolour fabrics and sensitive materials. During application, take extra precautions to avoid contact with fabrics and tarmac. The fluid may produce minor whitening of some surfaces; always test the product in an unnoticeable area before using it.
