The specially designed shapes of the sash and frame ensure that the flat roof windows feature up to 16% greater glazing area compared with other manufacturer’s windows of the same size. Minimise heat loss Another key feature of the FAKRO fixed modular flat roof window is the glazing. The flat roof window offers P2 laminated quad glazing, which includes a layer of glass on the outside, with an argon gas cavity, as well as a 6.2mm internal glass pane with a low emission coating. The glazing is combined with a uPVC upstand, which has a multi-chamber design. This combined with the quad glazing creates an incredibly thermally efficient flat roof window. Ease of installation The FAKRO modular triple glazed window is supplied with a specially profiled covering material , which sits beneath the drip cap of the frame. This helps to create a tight connection between the roof window and the roofing material. If required, the fixed modular flat roof window can be installed on an additional XRD base. This allows the flat roof window to be installed on green roofs and in other situations where the window needs to be lifted slightly above the surface of the roof.
