Adaptors are available within our range of fittings to connect to these older materials if a connection is required.Potable (drinkable) water mains are always blue in colour whereas non-potable mains are black. Gas pipe is always yellow.We would always recommend that any water or gas main buried in the ground is installed inside a duct. This both protects the pipe and makes removal or replacement a much easier task.
