For cavity widths 50-65mm, heavy duty load L1/HD Lintel has a manufactured length in 150mm increments. Blockwork is built tight against the inner face of the lintel. Next, place the mortar bed on top of the blockwork before units are laid to provide even distribution of load. Lintels may be propped to facilitate speed of construction.
