For cavity widths 50-65mm, standard load L1/S Lintel has a manufactured length in 150mm increments. Blockwork is built tight against the inner face of the lintel. the mortar must be placed on top of the blockwork before floor units are laid to provide even distribution of load. They can be propped to facilitate speed of construction.
