Creeping Juniper is often the 'go-to' conifer for municipal planting as it can be relied upon to cover large areas with soft undulations of greenery without imposing any height. These features can be brought to the domestic garden with Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii' as it's steel-blue foliage can spread up to 2 metres in time and will grow up to 30cm (12) per year. During cold winters look out for the purple tone that the foliage takes on which makes a very pleasant contrast with other planting.
