With long upright flower spikes covered in pale pink blooms each of a delicate and intriguing shape, this graceful flower goes by the rather mundane name of Toadflax. It brings colour to a cottage garden, herbaceous border or gravel garden from June right through to September. Butterflies love the nectar-rich flowers and long flowering period, so it is perfect in a wildlife garden too. It also makes a great cut flower.
