Slow grown timber has a tighter grain, less sap, and considerably fewer knots. As a result, the timber used in Shire's goods is more resilient and will last considerably longer than other timbers. This shed has been pressure treated. Except for a little green hue induced by the copper concentration in the preservative, pressure therapy is practically colourless. The treatment greys over time, although this has no effect on its quality.
